The Runoff Area is a website devoted to the purposes of humour and satire, not a serious motorsports news publication. When reading articles on this website - even you credulous folks over at ApexSpeed - please try to understand that they are not intended to be taken seriously. Sebastian Vettel is not a baby, I know of no plans to host a Grand Prix in South Ossetia, and Kimi Raikkonen doesn't respond to everything with a "bemused grunt." Or does he?

Article of the Year

End-of-year polls are all the rage on motorsport websites, usually giving you the chance to vote for your driver or team of the year. Thanks to everyone who voted, the winner has now been decided!

New F1 game to feature post-race penalties

FOTA dinner ends in chaos

Montezemolo … claimed that he was in two minds about whether he was going to spend anything at all, or simply leave the restaurant without paying and set up his own restaurant where everybody could eat as much as they liked until dead from obesity or legally bankrupt.

FIA accuse McLaren fans of inconsistency

“The persistent and unfair meddling of McLaren fans in the affairs of Formula One long after the events have finished is ruining our once-great sport,” the FIA complained. “Why can’t we just watch a race, let it finish, fiddle with the results a bit and have done with it all?”

McLaren: Raikkonen only gives 100%

Whitmarsh was scathing of some current drivers, who have been known to come back from a qualifying lap claiming that they have “given it 110 per cent.” “That’s simply not enough,” he pointed out. “110 per cent these days will get you into Q2, but nowhere further.”

Hitler not impressed by Ecclestone

“Mr. Hitler said that he thought that Bernie was a dwarfish, money-grabbing excuse for an Untermensch, and that he wouldn’t have lasted five minutes in the dog-eat-dog world of Europe between the wars. He also said that I should say hello to Max, whatever that means.”
